Sublingual– This delivery method bypasses the digestive system allowing for a faster onset and more efficient absorption compared to ingestion.
Inhalation– This method allows cannabinoids to enter the bloodstream through the lungs, resulting in a more rapid onset than edibles.
Ingestion– This method brings cannabinoids through your gut and are processed by the liver. Although it reduces the bioavailability, it also converts THC to 11-Hydroxy-THC molecules resulting in a much stronger effect.
Topical– This delivery method is non-intoxication because the cannabinoids cannot pass through the dermis into the bloodstream and therefore, the onset of effects are a lot quicker.
Transdermal– This method allows the cannabinoids to dive deeper past the skin barrier through the uptake agent and delivers to the bloodstream effecting the entire body. Onset takes about 20 mins or so and the effect can last up to 12 hours.
Mucosal– This delivery method bypasses the digestive system and absorbs directly through the mucous membrane, therefore the onset of effects is far quicker and direct.
